ASA has built a reputation for providing the aviation community with the most accurate and reliable FAR/AIM products available. The FAR AMT app continues this tradition, containing information from Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations (14 CFR), as well as Advisory Circulars (ACs) pertinent to Aviation Maintenance Technicians (AMT), aircraft maintenance operations, and repair shops. In addition to all the information included in ASA’s printed FAR AMT book, this app includes the Pilot Controller Glossary and the complete Aircraft Inspection, Repair and Alterations text (AC43.13-1B and AC 43.13-2B). The app is fully searchable, with the option of narrowing your search hits to regulations, Advisory Circulars, or both. ASA FAR-AMT app features:
• All of ASAs 2023 FAR for Aviation Maintenance Technician book contents are included: 14 CFR Parts 1, 3, 5, 13, 21, 23, 25, 26, 27, 29, 33, 34, 35, 39, 43, 45, 47, 48, 65, 91, 110, 119, 121, 125, 135, 145, 147, and 183.
• Includes Advisory Circulars 20-62E, 20-109A, 21-12C, 39-7D, 43-9C, 43.9-1G.
• The complete Aircraft Inspection, Repair and Alterations (AC 43.13-1B and AC 43.13-2B) is included.
• Pilot/Controller Glossary included.
• Text search helps you find what you’re looking for in the FAR, ACs or both.
• Profile and Landscape viewing available for easy reading and viewing figures.

None of the material in this publication supersedes any documents, procedures, or regulations issued by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). ASA does not claim copyright on any material included herein that was taken from United States government sources; all contents originate from the FAA.

Latest reviews of FAR AMT app for iPhone and iPad

Great app!!
Excellent app, I was looking for an app like this for a loooooog time, thanks!!!
Descent but...
So this app is pretty good though a little overpriced. Especially when the updates appear as amendments and not in the main text of the Parts. And the updates are not even all there. The app says it is recent from April of 2011, but is missing information that is present in books that are using info from June 2010. Please update the content. The UI is basic but solid.
Nice!!!
Very pleased, it saves you money just to buy this app rather than FAR book, and AC 43-13.
Great for looking something you already know, but not much else.
This is a great idea and the information is current. I pretty much used this constantly during my classes as a reference for my flash cards app more than directly studying for it. Theres two reasons why I wouldnt recommend this app: 1. You cannot highlight anything. 2. You cannot make bookmarks. I was coming from the kindle version of my FARs and I probably would not have bought the iPad version had I known that I couldnt do this.
Functional
This app does have the FAR and works independent of internet access. That was my main reason for paying for the app. However, there are some issues that make it difficult to use. Some of the text formatting doesnt follow the outline structure of the FARs (paragraph (a) is immediately followed by sentence (1) on the same line) which can make difficult finding the topics. Could be much better if the referenced sections and parts were hyperlinked for easier navigation. Bookmarks would be helpful.
